Preview SEO settings while editing a Site page
The Sites search-and-sharing panel shows a live preview of your SEO title and description as you edit them. This helps you write effective metadata without guessing how it will look. ## Open the SEO panel 1. Open **Sites** in your workspace. 2. Open the Site you want to edit. 3. Select a page. 4. Open the **Search & sharing** panel in the inspector. ## Live search preview As you type a title or description override, the preview updates immediately to show how the text will appear in a search result snippet. - The preview reflects what you have typed, not the live published page. - Empty fields are shown as **Inherited** — the preview does not attempt to resolve page or site defaults, and does not predict exact search-engine output. - The preview remains compact and uses restrained styling to avoid confusion with a real search result. ## Character limits Character counts are shown alongside the title and description fields. The accessible field names remain stable as the counts change, so screen readers are not disrupted while you type. Keep within the displayed limits to reduce the chance of search engines truncating your text. ## Noindex indicator If the page is set to **noindex**, the panel displays a clear indicator. This helps you confirm the setting is intentional before publishing. ## What the preview does not show - The preview does not resolve inherited values from the page template or Site defaults. - It does not predict how any specific search engine will display your page. - Social sharing previews (Open Graph) are separate from the search preview. ## Save your changes Select **Save** or **Publish** in the inspector to apply your SEO changes to the page. The live Site reflects the saved values.
