Link collection items to a page on another Site

Collection blocks can open each item's detail page on a different public Site within the same workspace. For example, an Articles block on a Group News site can link visitors directly to the article detail page on your Docs site. ## Before you begin - The destination Site must be published. - The destination Site must have a collection page with a detail template that matches the collection type of your block. - Both Sites must be in the same workspace. ## Set the destination Site 1. Open **Sites** in your workspace. 2. Open the Site that contains the collection block. 3. Select the section with the collection block. 4. Open the block's **Content** settings. 5. Find the **Open items on** selector. 6. Choose the destination Site where detail pages should open. 7. Save the page. ## How links work - Links follow the current page slugs of the destination Site. - Links work from custom-domain Sites through existing cross-site URL handling. - If the destination Site is unpublished or the matching detail page disappears, item links become non-clickable rather than broken. - Existing blocks default to linking within the host Site — no change is needed unless you want cross-site linking. ## What is not affected - **View all** links retain their current destination. - Category filter links retain their current destination. - The **Open items on** selector is only available when there is a matching published collection and detail template on the target Site. ## Revert to the default To revert to host-site links, return to the **Open items on** selector and choose the current Site, or clear the selection.
